Wonderful stay
I spent one night at The Meads on business and could not recommend this B&B more highly. Lovely room, wonderful hosts and a delicious breakfast. A welcome change from soulless hotel chains. I am looking for an excuse to return to Oxted again soon! 

Quintessential British B&B
We chose Meads because of its proximity to Chartwell and because there is a train station close by in the village, with easy direct access to London.
Our four night stay was a wonderful way to end a whirlwind visit to family in Wales and Lancashire. The house is located very close to the charming village of Oxted, the homes and gardens on the short walk into town looked like something out of a movie set with wisteria draping from the fronts of the houses.
Meads itself is a lovely, charming example of what we love about British B&Bs, decorated with oak furniture, comfortable furnishings and an an amazing dining room with lots of light.
Our room was spacious and light with lots of space for storing clothes (much appreciated). The bathroom was huge and we appraised the excellent, powerful shower.
Rick and Helen are perfect hosts, very friendly and helpful and clearly take pride in offering a comfortable experience for their guests. I highly recommend Meads if your travels bring you to the area.
